Natural Dyes
Natural dyes are the ancient alternative to modern acid dyes, they are extracted from woods, flowers, stems, stalks, and one unfortunate species of cactus bug. One reason natural dyes fell out of favor is that they’re labor intensive. I can personally verify that, my work with dyes is years in the making, I started naturally dyeing in 2020 and those fibers became the foundation for my research . I am available for natural dye talks and workshops, submit inquiries through the contact form.
